Job Description

Rigado is looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to partner with our Sales and Solutions teams in the definition, design, delivery, and support of large-scale Commercial IoT projects.

The Solutions Engineer is a member of the Rigado Customer Success organization collaborating with Sales, Product/Engineering, and directly with customers to enable new customers to launch on the Rigado platform. This individual will have a broad understanding of the Rigado solution, IoT ecosystem vendor solutions, industry best practices, and technology integration, demonstrating expertise and delivery of functional and technical solutions for our top tier customers.

This individual will also provide expert knowledge to existing and prospective customers through conducting detailed technical discovery, writing statements of work (SOWs), delivery of Proof of Concepts (POCs), managing pilots, and ultimately getting these customers ready for production.

Key Requirements:

  • Superior communication, relationship, and customer service skills that result in the ability to rapidly assess needs and architect/implement solutions for sophisticated customers.
  • Design and configuration of the Rigado software solution for use in initial customer deployments.
  • Ownership and management of technical team relationships within existing and prospective customers
  • Self-sufficient with a high degree of autonomy and a passion for working within a dynamic startup-like environment
  • Exemplary technical skills enabling technical configuration and rapid problem-solving in the field including:
  • Experience with Unix command line operating systems
  • Cloud vendor solutions such as AWS IoT Core/Azure IoT Hub/MQTT
  • Live troubleshooting
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation and presentations to demonstrate enterprise solutions, ease-of-configuration, simplicity of architecture, and intelligence of workflows providing the opportunity for customer interaction and demonstrate excellent presentation skills.
  • Effectively communicate solution value to the business and technical audiences
  • Provide 1st level technical support for prospective clients during active Services engagements.
  • Provide needs assessment, consultation, technical solutions, and customer support with a team of Rigado professionals.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills to prioritize customer requirements

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience with wireless protocols (especially BLE and 802.15.4)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and specifically Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Central, Azure DPS
  • Experience with AWS and specifically AWS IoT Core
  • Familiarity with MQTT protocol
  • Experience with Linux-based edge computing architectures. Bonus points for knowledge of Ubuntu Core and Snap architecture
  • Familiarity or expertise in the following programming languages: Golang, Javascript, amp; Nodejs
  • Expertise with Command Line Interfaces, CLI tools, and scripting
