SIMULATE’s mission is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable nutrition. SIMULATE’s first product, NUGGS, is a chicken nugget simulation made from plant inputs. Since NUGGS launched in the Summer of 2019, NUGGS has evolved into the fastest growing chicken nugget on the planet. SIMULATE is currently developing new nutrition technologies, some that will launch later in the year.
As our Scientist, you will:
- Ideate and develop batter and breading applications for legacy and new product lines
- Iterate in a high-throughput fashion to understand and control highly desirable textures in coating systems
- Work with SIMULATE product team members and co-manufacturers for commercialization of batters and breadings
- Clearly explain trends in your development process to be understood in layman's and subject matter expert's terms
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Materials Science or related field
- You have a proven track record for creating great coating systems in past positions
- You have a detailed knowledge on starches (modified, native, etc)
- You have experience in working with sensory and instrumental analysis techniques (DSC, Texture Analyzer, etc)
- You have the urgency and precision of a Michelin-star chef
