Job Description

The Sales and Marketing Manager oversees all sales activities within Breadware. This role is responsible for driving sales revenue from new and existing clients, as well as developing client and partner relationships. The Sales and Marketing Manager serves as the face of Breadware, and is responsible for selling and final delivery of solutions to Breadware customers.

This role is collaborative, creative, and technical; is an excellent manager and communicator; understands how to build relationships and deliver technical solutions.

This position has the following direct reports: Sales Engineer

This position reports to the Director of Connected Solutions and is part of Breadware’s Senior Management Team.

The starting salary for this position is $110,000-115,000 (DOE) plus commissions.

Requirements

Essential Functions

Sales and Business Development

  • Create business strategies to facilitate company growth.
  • Contribute to Breadware’s financial health, meeting revenue and profitability targets. Create annual sales plan, participate in re-forecasting activities, and manage sales team budget.
  • Drive sales activities and achieve revenue targets. Identify and pursue new opportunities in existing and adjacent markets that leverage Breadware’s core competencies and past projects.
  • Create client proposals and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Contribute to the product and technology roadmap using voice of the customer, market intelligence, competitive information, and company capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners.

Marketing

  • Develop a deep understanding of Breadware’s market with the goal of increasing market penetration, sales, and adoption of the company’s products and consulting services.
  • Partner closely with StoneAge’s Marketing Team and Director of Customer Experience to collaboratively develop, implement, and measure Breadware’s marketing strategy by:
    • Create effective collaboration and project management methods between Breadware and StoneAge teams to scope and execute strong social media and web content, digital advertisement, strategic campaigns, collateral, events, and lead generation.
    • Research, analyze, monitor, and provide reports on Breadware competition and general IoT trends.
    • Understand lead generation tactics and marketing automation (ex. Pardot - SalesForce) to create sales funnel leads and nurturing strategies.
    • Develop and implement brand vision and strategy for Breadware. Coordinate branding and positioning across all channels. Develop and manage the company voice and tone, ensuring all communications are in alignment.
    • Contribute to product and service launches in collaboration with Breadware and StoneAge new product introduction teams to ensure smooth successful introduction to market.
    • Guide the development of all marketing collateral. Review and approve all marketing copy and assets to ensure alignment with customer brand-voice.
    • Understand and review monthly KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing tactics and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Contribute content calendar topics weekly based on market / customer feedback.
    • Develop and execute (with Marketing Team support) live event strategy including tradeshows, webinars, and virtual events to support sales, engage customers, and promote products.

Team Participation and Leadership

  • Foster a team culture that is consistent with the Breadware OWN IT mindset.
  • Perform 4 OWN IT Chats a year with all direct reports and ensuring proper documentation of all performance issues for all team members.
  • Work with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management.
  • Work with Director of Connected Solutions and Human Resources on any sales team personnel issues.

General

  • Partner with Accounting and the Office Manager to resolve any client issues related to invoicing and payments.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of Breadware’s strategic plan.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for Board of Directors, Breadware All-Hands, StoneAge Company meetings on topics such as company / campaign strategy, project roadmaps, business cases, KPIs, and general updates/information.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Director of Connected Solutions.
