We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced Software Engineer to serve as a Technical Lead on our remote engineering team. You'll spend 60% of your time working hands-on to build new features and products, 30% using your past experience to design and architect our products for scale as our user base grows, and 10% providing technical mentoring to engineers on our team.
Responsibilities
- Understand company needs to define system specifications
- Plan and design the structure of a technology solution
- Communicate system requirements to software development teams
- Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
- Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
- Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
- Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
- Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
- Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
- Build efficient back-end features in Python
- Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead

- Hands-on experience with software development and system administration
- Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Flask)
- Solid experience as Python Developer
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API
