THE ROLE:

Athletic Greens is one of the leading nutrition brands in the audio space and is looking for a proactive, hardworking, strategic growth marketer to lead daily strategy and execution for Audio Partnerships amp; Media Buying. The ‘Audio’ vertical at AG includes podcasts, digital audio, radio, and new emerging platforms, all of which bring our business to the next level.

These channels are critical to the acquisition strategy for Athletic Greens. You will be responsible for executing and expanding on the current strategy, scaling budget and acquisition efficiently, managing key relationships, overseeing the success of the channel and the team. In this role, you should be an effective negotiator, critical thinker, team leader and able to establish trust and build rapport with clients and media professionals.

The role will be working in a fast paced, creative environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing business and team. This role is on our dedicated Partnerships Team, reporting directly to the VP of Growth amp; Strategic Projects.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Your goal will be to efficiently scale the spend and partnerships of Athletic Greens’ Audio program with an initial focus on podcasts. You are constantly thinking what’s next?
  • You will set strategy with the VP of Growth, stay on top of industry and relationship trends to identify new opportunities, audiences to test and define the future strategy.
  • Partner, coach, and manage a team whose success you will own - you will define/improve process, reporting and support the development of the team.
  • While you will be responsible for comparing and negotiating rates, ad space and airtime, you will optimize for early ROI positive partnerships.
  • Work with insights and develop business cases to optimize plans and budgets according to the best media mix, test new platforms and verticals.
  • Actively identify and cultivate new communities of media partners as well as new channel expansion opportunities to reach our target customers and extend our reach.
  • Perform competitive analysis, industry research, assessment of best practices and KPIs to scale our audio.
  • Track and understand audience listener and reader metrics to evaluate the success of partnerships and inform future direction of the department.
  • Drive efficient performance that is tracked daily, weekly and monthly vs. aggressive growth and ROI targets. e.g., outreach and identify targets to build a pipeline in order to oversee audio pipelines and deal/own the performance + optimization of media partnerships.
  • Become an expert on our brand vision and community goals in order to successfully support that vision with aligned messaging across our media partners.
  • Continue to build scalable processes in order to monitor content, build insights and find efficiencies.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Non-Negotiables:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital media buying or sales with proven audio experience.
  • Internal drive to find innovative and effective ways to excite and engage partners.
  • Someone who has successfully grown a media program into a 7+ figure marketing budget.
  • Extremely strong written communication skills.
  • Creativity, curiosity, organizational skills, a problem-solver with a personable demeanor.
  • An experienced negotiator and is seasoned at managing and building a pipeline, pitching, managing relationships.
  • Proven team lead experience and cross-functional communication skills - expected to grow team.
  • Somebody with a desire to flourish in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit.
  • An obsession about audio content and partnering with content distributors.
  • Can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business.
