Your Role
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Product Director will be a leader within the small, driven and growing team focused on transforming customer needs into product innovations. You will see the "big picture" and work collaboratively to own major quarterly initiatives within the Product organization while bringing them to life with our Engineering organization. You'll bring forth new ideas that further empower the product and the team while showcasing your passion for our members, providers and administration stakeholders.
The Product Director has a strong technical background, excellent IT skills and experience leading healthtech startup product groups. They are experienced in designing first-to-market product features and possess the ability to closely work with software engineers and business stakeholders. The goal is to lead major business initiatives while collaborating with all parts of the organization; executive leadership to post-launch KPI analysis with our data team.
Your Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Determine the functional and non-functional requirements for new aptihealth initiatives.
- Use the right tools and methodologies to construct the design and interface
- Provide product guidance and coaching to the entire organization
- Communicate with effectively; a vocal and outgoing leader
- Create and champion top-tier results for our organization
- Keep up to date with the latest technology and clinical informatic trends to anticipate changes to aptihealth’s product offerings
Key Attributes for Success:
- 8+ years of product management experience, of which at least 2 years with past product work influencing clinical decision making/and delivering tech-enabled health care services
- Understanding of and familiarity with clinical informatics and/or data analysis
- Ability to translate complex clinical concepts and data analysis for a non-clinical audience
- A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in sizable new initiatives
- Pride of ownership in delivering results for the products you manage as well as those you have influenced through other stakeholders
- You have experience managing and building teams of Product Managers
- You are analytical, experimental, and creative. You know when to use data, but you also have the vision and intuition to take leaps when data is not available
- You are empathetic: you are eager to see the world from your users’ perspective
- You are scrappy: you are excited to roll up your sleeves, solve problems without precedent, and blaze a trail for those that will follow you.

Knowledge or Skills:
- Proven experience as product leader
- At least 8 years of product launches working closely with executive management
- At least 2 years of experience in AWS or other cloud computing platforms
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a product leadership role
- Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
- Understanding of programming concepts
- Understanding of frontend Javascript, preferably React and React-Native
- Experience launching mobile web and iOS and Android applications
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
- Technical mindset with careful attention to detail
