Storied is looking for a west coast-based, Client Services Account Manager to join the team.

Your Role

As the Engagement Lead you will support the Client Services Account Manager team in our consulting workmanaging story sprints and crafting strategic narratives to notable clients.


You are a master project manager and producer that can work strategically across accounts by developing and nurturing great relationships with our clients. At the same time, you can drive strategic projects within the client operations team and manage accounts day to day. You’re a systems thinker: ambidextrous with both conceptual and analytical thinking. You’re skilled at project management details and can still speak to the big picture. You can deliver succinct information synthesis, research insights, and can also contribute to strategy. You’re excited to engage in story-driven communications. What You’ll Do Every Day:

  • Project Management: Manage all project arcs by designing and tracking project management timelines; prioritizing and delegating tasks and assignments; demonstrating a high level of organizational skills; meeting deadlines; attention to detail; confidence and competency in reviewing the team’s work
  • Client Relations: Understanding our client’s business goals, market position, competitive set, and key messages to provide strategic counsel. Responsive and sensitive to internal and external client demands and deadlines; Participate in client sessions as a scribe, note-taker, and process facilitator
  • Proposals: Participate in the new business development process; with a focus on requirements definition, statements of work, and project planning
  • Strategy: Providing recommendations to the team and clients and developing comprehensive strategic engagement plans to meet client goals
  • Deliverables Creation: support the creation of client deliverables, incl. decks, outlines, amp; reports; writing and editing materials (contributed articles, executive talking points, major presentations, blog posts, press releases, social content, etc.); and the ability to provide constructive feedback on written materials
  • Process Implementation: design, execute, and iterate on client engagement SOPs, ensuring precise and efficient execution. Collaborate with client team to seek continuous process improvements.
  • Account Management: Supporting the Head of Client Operations managing the account teams resources and workflow; manage monthly client budgets/billing; prepare synthesized reports of discovery documents, client notes, amp; research; serve as scheduling liaison and support meetings for consulting engagements
  • Conduct research around relevant client trends and industry categories
  • Support the growth of Storied in other cross-functional areas as relevant

Requirements

Experience amp; Skills:

  • 3-5 years in management consulting, corporate communications, public relations, or client side
  • Ability to synthesize complex stacks of info into clear and compelling messages
  • Fast-twitch muscles for writing and editing materials for an executive audience
  • Self-motivated, independent, and a quick learner with a growth mindset
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to assure accuracy
  • Ability to interact in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities to ensure all tasks are completed on time
  • Proficiency with project management tools: Asana, Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, etc
  • Proficiency with Keynote /PowerPoint deck creation
