Job Description

Cloudsmith is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to play a critical role in supporting our growing Marketing and Sales teams. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be an instrumental contributor, building out programmes and processes within our marketing technology stack to support the company's rapid growth objectives.

Data is your best friend, your approach is hands-on, and you have a passion and curiosity to uncover insights and efficiency through data analysis. As a fundamental member of the team, you will use your operational passion and "get stuff done" attitude to deliver a world-class marketing operations function.

You are also highly collaborative, and enjoy a team environment where you can share your knowledge to help others optimise their marketing programs. The successful candidate will also have a keen interest in uncovering new trends and evaluating new technologies to support the strategic growth of Cloudsmith.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who adds value across our entire organisation, but to be more specific, our successful candidate will:

  • Analyse, document processes for, and optimise the marketing tech stack regularly to ensure operational efficiency, including staying up to date on the latest releases and updates.
  • Perform ongoing tasks related to data hygiene, lead routing, and segmentation.
  • Own the build and management of workflows and reports in Hubspot, Salesforce and other key tools as needed.
  • Build presentations to stakeholders and executive team on critical marketing and sales funnel metrics.
  • Manage nurture campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team and other stakeholders to guide prospects and customers through appropriate funnels.
  • Partner with senior leadership to answer the most essential strategic amp; operational questions for the team.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality in the marketing database and improve reporting, and segmentation.
  • Develop analytical frameworks, tools, and techniques to plan and communicate short and long term resource needs.
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative, qualitative, strategic and operational analysis.
  • Define KPIs amp; success metrics for operations and analytics.
  • Develop productive cross-functional relationships with senior leadership in marketing, DevRel, sales amp; engineering.
  • Identify trends in the data that our platform produces to help inform marketing strategies and product improvements.
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our performance marketing activity turns into new customers and converts customers.
  • Ensure activity across marketing campaign funnels, and customer behaviour flows are tagged and tracked accurately for reporting and analysis, across multiple channels, including, but not limited to; paid search, social, display and email marketing.
  • Develop enablement around our marketing technology, documenting process and user guidelines.
  • Research and evaluate new and emerging marketing technologies.

Requirements

About You, The Ideal Candidate

The sort of person we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, in a B2B technology/software environment preferred with a focus on marketing automation, marketing operations and/or marketing analytics
  • 2+ years Salesforce Administrator experience.
  • 2+ years Hubspot experience
  • University degree with a specialisation in Marketing or Business preferred
  • Experience in a startup or emerging growth technology company an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data to wide audiences, including executives, and build clear, concise presentations
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills and a data-driven marketing mindset
  • Exceptional technical proficiency in marketing technologies
  • Ability to connect marketing activities to business objectives
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with high-quality standards
