Job Description
Purpose:
We are an established industry leader in our region working to launch a startup that will fill a large gap in the healthcare services industry. We are in the process of designing and building an innovative platform that will not only replace our existing systems, but scale to meet the demands of the industry nationally. We are looking to add a Test Automation Engineer who wants to push themselves, and wants the opportunity to be part of a startup from its origins to growth, and ultimately through to established success. Working closely with our product management, design and development teams, you will create well defined and maintainable automated test suites to ensure our new platform runs smoothly and meets business and customer needs. The successful candidate will be the first member of our QA team.
The Role:
- Define and implement a test automation stack from the ground up that enables the creation, execution and maintenance of well-defined test suites
- Build a strong understanding of the technical stack while producing high quality, robust and reusable automation tests working across a varying set of technologies and products
- Build a strong understanding of the product functionality while developing test plans, scenarios and test cases for functional, regression and system level test activities for web and mobile applications
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers in a highly collaborative environment to ensure we have a robust and efficient system
- Taking ownership of product quality and helping to define product functionality
- Work with Customer Support teams to help troubleshoot production issues

Requirements
- Over 3+ Years of experience in Quality Testing using Automated Test technologies like Selenium, Ruby etc.
- API and web services testing experience using tools like SOAP UI, Postman, Swagger, etc.
- Experience in developing and implementing test frameworks.
- Experience in digital (web and mobile device) test automation.
- Experience with test-driven methodologies.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience establishing and reducing Regression Cycle time and an understanding of BDD.
- Experience with Performance Testing tools JMeter, Etc.
- Experience on UI automation and Load testing
- 3 10+ years in comparable role in high growth tech companies
- Show creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
- Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills.
- Not afraid to ask questions, to challenge/be challenged, and able to work to tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud deployment in google, azure or AWS.
- Agile Collaboration Tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Slack, etc.
