Stronghill Capital is a nationwide direct lender to entrepreneurial owners of income producing real estate, through the brokerage and mortgage banking community in the commercial real estate industry. He/she will foster client relationships and develop new business opportunities through networking, repeated contact and relationship management, and various revenue-generating strategies. He/she will manage all responsibilities associated with a commercial real estate transaction from start to finish. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Participate in new client development activities and foster client relationships.
- Manage all activities associated with the origination, management, and closing commercial real estate loans (with the support of the Operations team).
- Work the various tiers and personas of the mortgage banking and brokerage firms nationwide to find financeable first mortgages.
- Lead client follow-through efforts as it relates to prospects, various projects, and transactions.
- Attend, and actively participate in, industry events.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to cold call prospects and deliver results
- Knowledge of the capital markets industry
- Specifically: underwriting, credit, valuation, and more
- Background and understanding of commercial mortgage loan process and documents
- Ability to structure and negotiate with mortgage brokers and borrowers
- Strong interpersonal abilities and networking skills
- Critical thinking skills a MUST
- Analytical skills required
- Willingness to be opinionated about a deal, a channel, a borrower
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a wide-open entrepreneurial work environment that encourages the freedom to allow the best idea to win
- Capable of having an opinion about what he/she thinks makes for a good real estate transaction
- Hard-working and passionate about delivering a high-quality product
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and well organized
- Proficient in MS Excel and CoStar
- Ability to travel is a plus
- 1-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, financial services, or a related field possessing a demonstrable list of closed loans in the $1m-$5m range
- Bachelor’s degree required.
