Job Description
- Create and track Information Security issues through the company Service Management ticketing system.
- Setting up system process and user accounts within the parameters of the system
- Auditing user access and activities from log files
- Handling account exceptions including lockouts, forgotten passwords, and setup and deactivation
- Work with the Information Security Department to develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Manage connection security for local area networks, the company Web site, the company intranet and e-mail communications.
- Manage and ensure the security of enterprise databases.
- Assess need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required.
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
- Work with the Information Security Department on defining policies for data retention and secure data disposal.
- Providing effective network domain security management by following organizational policies and procedures.
- Work with the Information Security Department on managing authentication and access methods requirements.
- Work with end users and management to identify security risks or vulnerabilities and escalate to the Information Security management team.
- Complete security requests for system access privileges.
- Work within SLA to meet the changing demands of the business for new user creation and termination.
- Other duties as assigned and requested.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year supporting end users in a help desk role
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Have the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients at all levels
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Learning information security tools and terminology in a healthcare environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- COMPTIA Network+ or Security+
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
- Prior Experience working with Identity Access Management systems
- Familiarity with Role-based Access Control (RBAC), Mandatory Access Control (MAC) amp; Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
