JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Lifestyles Manager, the Wellness Screener for COVID-19 will screen all residents, team members, family members and vendors for COVID-19 symptoms daily.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Will screen resident’s daily for temperature and will keep a log of daily temperatures.
  • Will screen team members as they arrive for their daily shift for temperature and O2 saturations and will keep a log daily of team member names.
  • Will screen family members and friends of residents who come into the community for a visit for temperature, to check for COVID-19 complete vaccination or negative COVID-19 test, proper ID and will keep a daily log of visitor information.
  • Will screen vendors as they come into the community for temperature and O2 saturation and will keep a log of vendors daily visits.
  • Will greet delivery vendors (such as Hub Grub, Instacart, Amazon, etc.) and ensure that the packages being dropped off are for residents or team members at Acacia Creek.
  • Will assist in bringing packages into the building for deliveries.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Successful Aging philosophies and how it relates to the four areas of wellness: Social, Intellectual, Physical and Spiritual.
  • Cooperates and communicates with co-workers and establishes good working relationships with all departments.
  • Maintains regular attendance and arrives to work on time; completes time sheet appropriately as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attends/participates in in-services and team member meetings as needed.

Requirements

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum competency requirements include:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Compliance with all other state and federal laws governing the position.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English sufficiently to follow directions and communicate with supervisor, co-workers and residents.
  • Enthusiastic, nurturing and energetic in approaching their daily duties and relationships with older adults.
  • Able to work independently in initiating and prioritizing tasks without the need for frequent direction.
  • Open-minded and willing to learn new concepts and skills.
  • A resourceful team member possessing good judgment, with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail.

• Passionate about the potential of growth, confidence and competence for older adults.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

• A high school diploma


OBRA amp; TITLE 22 REQUIREMENTS

Ensures that residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to file a complaint, are well established and maintained at all times.

Maintains confidentiality, by following all HIPPA regulations, of appropriate resident personal information to assure their rights are protected.

Reports all incidents/accidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.

Follows established safety rules and regulations. Maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.

This is position is a 40 hour temporary position Monday through Friday that does not include benefits.
