The Reinsurance division of Risk Strategies is part of the National Healthcare Practice and provides consultative risk management/risk evaluation services for the full spectrum of individual and group medical and supplemental health products for a wide variety of private and public-sector clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop proformas for clients/prospects
  • Conduct business plan reviews and evaluate new product opportunities
  • Support discussions with carriers or reinsurers to obtain rating and underwriting program approvals
  • Develop reports to track Client program performance
  • Perform individual client analysis prior to reinsurance renewals to assist brokers in developing tailored renewal strategies
  • Monitor and communicate changes in regulatory requirements that could impact clients across various lines of business and products

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant and progressively responsible actuarial experience
  • An Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
  • Experience relevant to the responsibilities summarized above, and preferably across a variety of health-related lines of business and products
  • Ability to apply actuarial concepts and calculations to complex, diverse situations
  • Advanced technical background with expertise in at least MS Excel, Access and Word
