POSITION SUMMARY

MorphWorks is currently seeking a Program Manager to be responsible for the development, delivery, and management of modernizing a suite of legacy systems within a hybrid cloud environment, for a Federal government agency client. Ensuring successful delivery of this multi-year program and providing amazing customer experience resulting in maximum customer satisfaction will be the primary objective. The Program Manager is also responsible for the daily operations of associated teams that are supporting development activities through program management, deliverable completion, team supervision, and report completion. This individual owns all activities in the development lifecycle, from inception to successful delivery and is integrally involved in interaction with project managers, consultants, stakeholders and other members of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities will include relationship management, strategic planning, documenting, and overseeing the major initiatives of the program, developing and managing schedules based on all stakeholder requirements, and creating and presenting regular status reporting to client leaders, and external agency orgs as required. The PM will serve as the primary point of contact for the program and direct a small cross-functional/multi-organizational team of staff supporting the program.

  • Plan, execute, track, evaluate, analyze and coordinate projects and prepare required project documentation
  • Develop work plans, schedules, project estimates, risk and issue mitigation plans, and status reports, and provide direction to team members to execute
  • Schedule, conduct, document, and communicate information from related project meetings
  • Coordinate resources and stories with other Project Managers and Scrum Master
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, requiring multi-tasking under tight deadlines
  • Lead communication management activities
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
  • Represent program team to cross-organizational departments
  • Develop presentation materials for Program Team leadership and present to client leadership as required
  • Build partnerships with business and technical stakeholders
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Provide expertise in Project and Portfolio Management best practices, solutions, associated tools; and general support for all PM functions/tasking

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to foster productive working relationship with key client stakeholders
  • Strong written, verbal and presentations skills
  • 5-10 years of combined experience in managing application development and modernization programs
  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams working with hybrid cloud solutions
  • Working knowledge of modern technologies, including but not limited to Azure, AWS, Power Apps, .net, Appian, PEGA, AKS, CI/CD; as well as process methodologies such as DevOps.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level projects that produce maximum end-user experience
  • Proficiency in creating schedules and effectively allocating resources to accomplish associated tasking
  • Experience managing change and risk management activities on projects
  • Understanding, and preferably experience working in/around Agile methodology
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting, including within a collaborative client environment
  • Effective leadership skills to resolve conflicts and retain high morale across teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or the equivalent in experience
  • PMP and Agile Certifications preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Expertise in MS Project or equivalent, to setup and manage multiple project schedules and manage resources for IT projects
