We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product Knowledge group, a unique blend of product writers who support content needs across product marketing and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in authoring different types of content (knowledge base articles, reference documentation, white papers, and more), communicating complex systems and processes, and following documentation standards. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and passionate about finding the best way to present technical and data science topics to a range of audiences. We use Madcap Flare as our authoring tool and experience with this is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delight our internal and external customers by producing clear, accurate, and timely technical content.
  • Write and maintain topic-based documentation using Madcap Flare (and other tools), while also helping to establish writing standards.
  • Work closely with our engineers, data scientists and actuaries to translate complex topics, such as APIs and cloud-based integrations, AI algorithms, and methodologies, into accessible learning materials for our customers.
  • Research and document product information and functionality by attending daily stand-ups and working with SMEs, Product Managers, Program Managers, Support, QA, and other Technical Writers.
  • Use engineering and project management tools such as JIRA, BaseCamp, and BitBucket, to manage projects and research updates
  • Participate in peer edits, documentation milestones, and process improvements.
  • Ensure the quality of customer-facing content.
  • Help manage a growing library of internal documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience using MadCap Flare
  • Eagerness, enthusiasm and a get things done attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, or equivalent is a plus
  • Experience working with complex data science topics and multi-platform technology solutions is preferred
