Job Description

Looking to be part of a world-class team of software developers creating cutting-edge tools for our nation's war fighters? Come join our team!

(CTI) is a rapidly growing software, systems, and operational support corporation dedicated to providing user-focused technologies for military and other security applications including spectrum dependent operations (e.g. electronic warfare and signals intelligence), tactical amp; unmanned systems, C4ISR, and training amp; simulation capabilities. We believe in the power of collaborative development, and we are committed to engineering our solutions on open, government-owned platforms, ensuring that industry proprietary tools do not stand in the way of the right capabilities being employed on the battlefield.

We are looking for people who are intellectually curious, self-motivated, committed to excellence, and constantly seeking to learn and grow. Our typical toolset includes the Atlassian tool suite, Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, and Slack but we strive to use the best commercial, open source, or internally developed technologies for each problem. We work in small teams where each person is able to impact the technical direction of the project. At CTI, you will be exposed to a range of technologies and have opportunities to support a variety of unique projects in Java, Android, and/or various web technologies. Here are some examples of solutions we develop:

  • Real-time geospatial visualization of spectrum, including command and control of integrated platforms/sensors
  • Tools to collect, process, exploit, and disseminate large amounts of telemetry and sensor data
  • Immersive 3D scenario modeling for planning, analysis, and training
  • Open platform of APIs and services for desktop, mobile, and web applications to interface with devices such as radios and UAVs.

If you thrive on solving challenging problems like these and desire to do so with a fun group of bright people, we want to hear from you!

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications, including smaller-scale architecture for new projects
  • Participate as a primary voice in code reviews, constructively guiding/mentoring more junior developers
  • Continuously learn, grow, and improve
  • Proactively and constructively advocate for improvement on behalf of the organization, your team, and yourself
  • Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors/inefficiency and revise programs, as needed
