Athletes Unlimited is a new model of pro sports where athletes are decision-makers and individual players are champions of team sports. We literally change the game with faster play, and a new draft and team rosters every week, delivering next-level competition and engagement in which every moment counts. With women’s softball, volleyball, and lacrosse as part of the roster, Athletes Unlimited will build the next generation of both athletes and fans.
Athletes Unlimited is seeking a Strategy amp; Development Summer Associate to help analyze growth opportunities and assist with capital raising and investor communications. This individual will work directly with the CEO and leadership on high priority projects. The role is paid and full time for a 10-12 week period during the summer with the option to begin earlier on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Assessment of growth opportunities including new leagues and business efforts (e.g. market sizing, ROI evaluations, required capabilities/partnerships, financial analysis)
- Assisting with capital raising and investor communications including investor presentations and financial models
Requirements
- In pursuit of a Master’s in Business Administration during Summer 2021
- Prior experience with financial modeling and analysis required
- Drives work independently, creating project work plans, and making informed assumptions where necessary
- Collects and distills insights from qualitative and quantitative data
- Understanding of corporate finance
- Able to build a financial story behind strategic initiatives
- Skilled in building presentations
- Brings creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit to drive innovation
- Prior work in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or new business development and planning preferred
- Has strong passion for the work we are doing
- Collaborative, team player
