Job Description

Impactual seeks an enthusiastic, self-starter that has a passion for politics, pop culture, and making a difference. At Impactual, everyone plays a role in accelerating impact. This position is an entry-level position for someone seeking exposure to the social impact sphere. In this position you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative and bold initiatives tackling some of the biggest social issues of today.


While you may have opportunities to support a variety of clients and initiatives, the primary function of this position is to assist in the day-to-day work of our Philanthropic Advising team to support our individual clients. The program associate will be required to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and command a strong attention to detail. This person must be curious, enjoy problem solving, committed to exceptional client service and have an appreciation of the civic and political landscape.

About Us: Impactual LLC is a social impact consulting firm. We help causes, philanthropists and brands address some of the most pressing political and social challenges. Our clients include individual and institutional philanthropists, Fortune 500 companies, and high-impact nonprofits.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Project Management Support.
    • Support the regular administrative needs of a portfolio of client projects;
    • Manage incoming requests and communications for clients via phone and email;
    • Schedule and attend client meetings, take notes, and ensure follow-up is taken;
    • Conduct research and partake in brainstorming sessions to help guide client strategy.
  • Research and Writing.
    • Maintain tracking system for staying current on policy, political and cultural developments;
    • Maintain complex tracking system for philanthropic clients’ contribution records;
    • Conduct extensive political landscape research including tracking competitive primary and general election races and the advancement of relevant legislation;
    • Draft concise and compelling weekly updates on recent political developments;
    • Support the drafting, revising, and formatting of client pitch decks, reports, presentations, memos and correspondence and other deliverables for clients;
    • Represent the company or clients in meetings and webinars as needed;
    • Ensure work developed meets Impactual’s quality control standards including proper grammar, proper formatting, integrity, and originality.
  • Special Projects.
    • Impactual is a small firm and we’re an all-hands-on-deck team. In a rapidly changing environment, responds to a variety of special projects, including; high level events, working groups, etc. This role will be responsible for other duties as assigned.

  • Attention to detail. This role will include a significant amount of tracking, organizing, and proofreading, particularly as it pertains to our individual philanthropic clients. You have a keen attention to detail, ability to work well with Google Sheets, and always review something twice before completing it.
