Job Description

Impactual seeks an enthusiastic, self-starter that has a passion for advocacy, pop culture, and making a difference. At Impactual, everyone plays a role in accelerating impact. This position is an entry-level position for someone seeking exposure to the social impact sphere. In this position you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative and bold initiatives tackling some of the biggest social issues of today.

While you may have opportunities to work on a variety of client projects and initiatives, the primary function of this position is to assist in the day-to-day work of our Program Support Team to support our nonprofit clients. The program associate will be required to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and command a strong attention to detail. This person must be curious, enjoy problem solving, committed to exceptional client service, and have an appreciation of the civic and political landscape.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Project and Campaign Management Support.
    • Support administrative needs of pro-democracy advocacy campaigns at state and federal level and other client projects;
    • Manage high volume of client requests and communications via phone, slack, and email;
    • Schedule and attend meetings, take notes, weigh in on strategy where appropriate, and ensure follow-up;
    • Support management of subject-matter experts.
  • Research and Writing.
    • Interpret policy summaries to develop fact sheets for diverse audiences, draft testimony, op-eds and LTEs, and maintain social media toolkits;
    • Support communications team on digital ad creative and captions for persuasion and thank-you paid campaigns;
    • Track development, provide feedback, and ensure stakeholder approval of volunteer generated content for legislative hearings;
    • Conduct policy, political or cultural research per client needs;
    • Support the drafting, revising, and formatting of client deliverables, including reports, presentations, memos and correspondence;
    • Represent company or clients in meetings and webinars;
    • Ensure work meets Impactual’s quality control standards including proper grammar, formatting, integrity, and originality.
  • Special Projects.
    • Impactual is a small firm and we’re an all-hands-on-deck team. In a rapidly changing environment, responds to a variety of special projects, including; high level events, working groups, etc. This role will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
