Our Client is a global creator company that detects and develops the world's most talented video creators through technology. The company's proprietary data and video optimization tools drive social audience growth, unlocking new revenue streams and amplifying monetization.
They are expanding their Partnership team and hiring a Director of Strategic Partnerships - Entertaintainment to identify new opportunities with media organizations, film studios and other IP owners. This role can be based in New York or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities will include:
In-depth knowledge of the entertainment landscape, including digital monetization solutions for key partners
Negotiate licensing and strategic partnership agreements with media organizations, film studios and other IP owners around IP Owner and Professional Media Creators programs
Identify various potential partners across a variety of different sectors that can help drive the growth of the Professional Media Creators business
Setup various partnership models and deal structures to govern these partnerships
Vet the integration with partners and be able to flag certain areas of friction, and then work with internal teams to address
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in marketing, finance, operations, legal and product to ensure partners success and drive key KPI’s
Develop forecasts and models to quantify potential partnerships
Meet quarterly and annual goals around business growth
Cultivate strong relationships with media owners across multiple categories of the digital ecosystem
Maintain effective communication with partners and finding timely solutions to resolve issues and challenges
Manage all key reporting metrics in a timely and meticulous fashion
Requirements
Strong business development skills such as making key prospects lists, creating and identifying deal structures, and strategizing how to go to market.
Strong sales mindset in terms of effectively positioning the key offerings to continue enhance and refine the value proposition Key network of contacts at potential partners within studio or IP library rights holders that can be immediately leveraged.
7+ years of experience in working with established media partners to sell custom tech solutions or business partnerships to increase monetization on their content on digital platforms
Deep understanding of IP rights and content acquisitions
Must be able to develop and implement projects
Deep understanding of social media and analytics with an emphasis on video across multiple platforms
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone
Win-win attitude, with a hunger to meet and exceed goals as well as problem solve with creative solutions
Desire to work in fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Ability to pivot in the moment and think on your feet in an entrepreneurial organization
Have a sense of what’s popular and buzzworthy while not being afraid to take risks to identify/introduce new partners and ideas
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and constantly re-evaluate and set priorities is a must
Experience at a start-up and/or in the digital entertainment space a plus
