Job Description

Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking a credentialed content strategist with a passion for inspiring the development of first-class content for top-tier brands, companies and causes. This person will lead organic content and integrated programs for some of our core clients AND help standardize the agency’s approach, templates and best practices across teams. Ultimately serving as a center of excellence that helps advise clients and the agency’s own social content as well.

The ideal candidate is someone with expertise developing and overseeing an integrated content strategy that encompasses the full breadth of communications marketing, with specific experience across digital mediums. Someone who thrives on conceptualizing creative content ideas and turning them into an integrated strategy, to include video, infographics, blogs, and data visualization, ensuring optimal delivery of content to target audiences across channels. You should be comfortable developing integrated content strategies that encompass channel selection and focus, editorial governance and metrics that are applied and aligned with our client’s business objectives.

Role amp; Responsibilities:

  • You’ll lead organic social and integrated content strategy across mediums for clients, defining what platforms they should be on and what their unique POV should be within each
  • Consistently improve the way our clients communicate with their audiences, using data driven messaging and methodology
  • Lead the day-to-day process and workflow for organic content and paid social creative across clients plus share and implement best practices across teams
  • In partnership with the creative and research teams, help our clients define their tone and copy approach across online and offline mediums, creating a more engaging and ownable voice
  • Plays a collaborative role with our internal communications team by supporting marketing activities such as branding and content

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in strategic communications, social media creative strategy, and/or digital content creation
  • Digital advertising experience, preferably in a combination of agency, nonprofit, political, government or corporate communications settings
  • Exceptional presentation, writing and analytical skills with the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight timelines
  • Proven project management experience, including overseeing a team managing deliverables for multiple clients
  • Extremely strong writing and editing capabilities with experience integrating online and offline media
  • Experience managing, developing, and mentoring team members
  • Positive attitude, strong balance of both humor and commitment, alignment with BPI values

Employee Status: Full-Time, exempt

  • The minimum salary expectation for this particular position is $130,000 dependent on relevant experience
