The Director, International Business Operations will be responsible for prioritizing and planning global expansion and new market entry.

The ideal candidate has both a strategic business background, as well as a deep understanding of country specific rollout planning, localization efforts, sales, product, operations, finance, and marketing functions. In past roles, you’ve demonstrated an ability to think strategically about business challenges, and are able to build and convey compelling plans and frameworks. You thrive when solving complex and ambiguous problems, are comfortable challenging the status quo and have a proven track record of managing large programs. You are able to identify and communicate a clear vision to a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leaders, and drive ideas to completion.

This role will begin as a hybrid of remote/in-person but eventually will be in our San Francisco office.

Requirements

What you will do:

  • Oversee the development of Oura’s international expansion programs and go-to-market playbook in close partnership with our sales, operations, finance, product and marketing functions.
  • Work with key stakeholders across all functions to deliver against strategy and requirements to ensure successful and efficient expansion rollouts.
  • Partner closely with many other teams at Oura - to ensure we’re thoughtful and consistent in our planning and execution.
  • Evaluate and communicate the progress of ongoing market expansion projects on a regular basis to key stakeholders, achieving cross-functional alignment around goals and objectives.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of key business drivers to measure progress towards international growth goals and develop recommendations for maximizing international performance.
  • Actively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. Your program management skills allow you to efficiently coordinate and track work across multiple teams. Your start-up mentality enables you to find work-arounds for any business challenge.

We would love to have you on our team, if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in corporate international expansion, business strategy, and / or management consulting focused on large scale complex operational and strategic initiatives.
  • You’re a shrewd written and verbal communicator, lead meetings with program stakeholders efficiently, and bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, positive, solution-oriented, and easy-going.
  • An unyielding commitment to ride in the quality of your work, with an ability to to achieve precise and measurable results with your efforts.
