Job Description

Our Finance team in Armstrong Flooring is growing and this is a new position that we've added. Reporting to the Vice President amp; Controller, the Director of Financial Systems amp; Consolidations will be a key leader within the finance organization and responsible for managing the Company’s financial information systems and internal financial reporting to:

  • Ensure the integrity of the Company's financial data, consolidation processes and internal reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement the Company’s financial information systems and financial close related processes
  • Partner with Controllers and other senior team members to continually evaluate and provide strategic business insights and direction

This role will also ensure governance and oversight of financial information process, timeliness and accuracy of the financial consolidation process and assuring a sound internal control environment and providing critical accountability and guidance for finance leadership across the organization.

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Lead 1-2 managers with responsibility for key accounting areas
  • Manage North American consolidation utilizing SAP
  • Manage global consolidation utilizing Hyperion
  • Manage and coordinate global close processes
  • Partner with reporting entities in resolving intercompany transactions, consolidation questions and any issues with reported data.
  • Maintain and validate FX translation
  • Oversee internal management reporting including monthly balance sheet analysis
  • Lead optimization and acceleration efforts in all aspects of the financial and accounting close process including benchmarking, analyzing, reporting and making recommendations or system improvements
  • Plan, design, implement and maintain general ledger and financial reporting applications
  • Represent Controller's department in financial system implementations
  • Assist North American and External Reporting departments

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Prior SAP R3 experience
  • Prior Hyperion Enterprise experience
  • Previous experience in similar role included demonstrated competency in process improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (with minor in Information Systems) or Information Systems (with minor in Accounting)
  • 10+ years of financial information systems and consolidations experience

  • Experience in manufacturing-based or public companies
