Job Description
Armstrong Flooring, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative flooring solutions, has an opportunity for a college internship for the 2021 summer. In this role, you will work onsite with a team of skilled IT Client Support professionals to support local and remote business users. The focus in this role will involve new Headquarters location support as well as a variety of asset management, PC build, and PC migration activities.
Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 temporarily 100% remote due to COVID

IT Intern Salary: $16.00/hour
How you’ll contribute to the team:
- Complete PC replacement activities with strong attention to detail, in a remote administration model.
- Assign assets to individuals and record location data for users. Accurately document instances of compute equipment installation, removal, or component repair.
- Report key issues/process improvements to Client Architects and report weekly on results of deployments (issues, feedback, etc.).
- Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide technical support for clients, including OS and network-related issues.
- Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to established processes, procedures and guidelines.
- Recommend improved procedures.
- Inform and educate clients by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information.
- Document actions and solutions performed with client.
Requirements
What you'll bring to the table:
- Current pursuing a degree in IT related field such as Computer amp; Network System Administration
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, Desktop Application troubleshooting, and desktop hardware troubleshooting and component level replacement.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
