Job Description

St. Catherine’s School seeks an Associate Director of Admissions to join a collaborative team of five and share the responsibility for recruiting and enrolling mission-appropriate students. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, Enrollment and Auxiliary Programs, the ideal candidate will possess strong database skills and demonstrated experience using data for strategic thinking along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to meaningfully engage prospective students and families. This a 12-month per year, full-time position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of recruitment and retention for Middle School (grades 5-8)
  • Manage inquiries for Middle School and other grade levels as necessary and engage in daily communication with prospective families via email, phone, and other communication channels
  • Provide campus tours for prospective families
  • Schedule and facilitate campus visits for applicants to Middle School
  • Coordinate and manage Middle School Admissions events (admissions programs, visit days, school visits, testing appointments) and partner with Admissions Coordinator to prepare communications and materials for the events
  • Manage all aspects of the application process for applicants to Middle School
  • Coordinate skills assessment test administration for applicants
  • Maintain the Student Information System (Blackbaud) database records for Middle School candidates
  • Coordinate admissions correspondence for Middle School candidates
  • Coordinate aspects of accepting, enrolling and onboarding new students to Middle School with Admissions Coordinator and Director of Admissions, Enrollment amp; Auxiliary Programs
  • Generate annual statistical reports regarding admissions and enrollment data for Middle School
  • Update digital and print materials annually as related to Middle School and other aspects of the school as needed
  • Coordinate the Middle School Welcome Committee and support all communications and events
  • Coordinate Middle School Student Admissions Ambassador Program and meet with students for training, tour planning, visit day assistance, etc.
  • Coordinate the Parent Admissions Ambassador Program to include facilitating annual training, regular communication, and coordinating volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinate outreach for Middle School to promote recruitment of students to grades 5-8
  • Serve on Retention Committee
  • Coordinate the Middle School Admissions Committee
  • Represent and promote the school at school fairs and other admission events
  • Serve as a Middle School advisor and/or coach
  • Some evening and weekend duties are required

St. Catherine's School is an Episcopal day school in Richmond, Virginia, founded in 1890 and enrolling 960 girls age 3 to grade 12.
