Our API-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant's end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.
We are a venture-backed startup based in downtown San Francisco (and since COVID began, fully remote) that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exits. Extend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry, in the same way, that Stripe did for online payments and Affirm did for consumer point of sale financing.What You'll Do:
  • You will have a unique opportunity to play a significant role in driving strategic growth for a Series B startup on a rocketship growth trajectory.
  • Be the operational leader and enabler of our SMB and mid-market Account Executives
  • Manage, coach, and develop your team of Account Executives, helping them to achieve and surpass their assigned quarterly targets
  • Meet with team members regularly to discuss performance and career progression
  • Work with Head of Sales to hire top talent and continue to grow our sales team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve program proposals and sales enablement materials
  • Influence selling strategy and provide thought leadership
  • Ensure excellent service and communication from Extend to our partners; ensure excellent representation of our partners to internal Extend stakeholders

What We're Looking For:
  • A curious, entrepreneurial leader with plenty of grit, analytical prowess, creative thinking, and initiative, who has a deep understanding of - and empathy for - our retail partners’ different needs
  • 3+ years of solution selling, management consulting, finance, or strategic operations with a digital product + experience with retail and/or payments a plus
  • 1-3 years of sales management experience, preferably in tech
  • It’s a plus if you have experience in the Retail or Payments landscape
  • Communication amp; Relationships: Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships both internally and with C-level decision-makers within the Retail vertical
  • Understands Pamp;L and quantitative levers used by our merchants that will help drive sales
  • Able to look beyond your biases and opinions to deliver the best possible solution for customers
  • Outgoing team player excited to work cross-functionally and build relationships
  • Go above and beyond to push the Extend product team and help find solutions to un-meet needs of prospective merchant partners
  • Seeks out new opportunities, drives projects, and navigates ambiguity with grace
