As a member of the Engineering Team, you will be part of a growing development team and make a direct impact on the development process and our culture. We are building our platform with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Go, PHP, Node, React, and other exciting technologies we believe in picking the right tool for the job.

As a Test Engineer, you will help drive the Team’s automation test strategy and risk analysis efforts across various features within OMG's software features. As Test Engineer, you will focus on looking for problems within the software and reporting those to the Development Team and other stakeholders as the product changes. As Test Engineer, you will also help establish tooling frameworks and contextual models for executing both functional and regression testing.

• Utilize a context-driven approach to testing and drive collaborative testing practices
• Inform system and software quality by running and analyzing the family of tests (e.g., exploratory and automated)
• Communicate test strategy, the status of the product, and test results to the Team and stakeholders
• Work with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end-users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design holistic risk exposure strategies
• Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Explicit knowledge of software testing processes within a Scrum/Agile environment.
• Working experience in development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, KanBan)
• Experience advocating for Testability, as it relates to making the software easier to manipulate to expose potential product risks
• Strength in recognizing how automation/tooling can assist with exploratory testing processes
• Experience with testing tools, including but not limited to automation, as a way to enhance and make testing strategies more robust. (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, FireBug, Postman, API testing, etc.)
• Ability to write SQL queries as well as HTML and CSS when and where appropriate
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a love for technical challenges, and a willingness to self-drive learning
• Team player who can work well in a diverse, geographically distributed team
• Sound judgment to collaboratively set priorities as well as analyze complex issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner at various levels

• Participate in the testing community, staying up to date on new testing technologies and good practices to share insight with others in the organization
• Continually adapt new testing models and tools for self-improvement in raising both personal and Team testing competency
