Job Description
As Business Operations Manager, your mission is to unlock exponential growth for Virtual Kitchen Co while building systems and processes that scale. You will lead mission-critical projects, tackle demanding analytical challenges, and own the supply/demand balancing models that power our platform. Together with your teammates, you will build a brand new platform that empowers restaurants to thrive in the food delivery era.
- Tackle VKC’s most complex, analytically challenging, and high priority problems.
- Build supply/demand forecasting and optimization models to balance our food ordering system and help us achieve our financial objectives.
- Lead cross-functional operations projects, collaborating with teammates across the entire organization, including senior leadership.
- Partner with our engineering organization to guide technical initiatives.
- Build and maintain SQL-based dashboards and analytical tools that help our team make data-informed decisions.
- Own the day-to-day execution around solving the most challenging pieces of our business: define business objectives and success metrics; understand and break down problems; identify, test, and execute solutions; build repeatable, scalable, and efficient processes.
Requirements
- Use SQL, Excel, and other data analysis and visualization tools every day.
- Be empathetic for teammates in different departments, including hourly and part time staff.
- Make the problems of our restaurant partners and end consumers your own.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with constant process evolution.
- Engage in spirited, data-driven, and respectful conversations with teammates of varied past experiences and areas of expertise.
- Manage projects with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Build solutions to problems for which you have little to no expertise, balancing the knowledge of industry experts with a first-principles approach to problem solving.
- Work remotely and in-person, whatever is most effective for the project at hand.
- 3+ years of work experience in an analytically rigorous and fast paced environment.
