Job Description

WWC Global is seeking an Events Manager to support the Strategic Communications office within the Army Program Executive Office. The Events Manager will be responsible for planning, coordination and logistics for all meetings, conferences, trade shows, off-sites, industry days, information exchanges, exhibits (design, production, set-up and tear down) and demonstrations to educate internal and external audiences. This position will also be responsible for all protocol requirements surrounding hosted events, to include planning, organizing, registration, publicity, administration, flag placement, gifts and preparation of conference materials.

Duties include:

  • Synchronizing 50-100 events per year across the organization
  • Serving as the organization’s speaking and conference manager per the Army Conference Policy
  • Submitting written summaries and outcomes of each event for archive and monthly metrics reports
  • Advising leaders and other staff on events and protocol issues, ensuring handbooks and standard operating procedures, etc. are current
  • Developing and integrating social media tactics into events
  • Drafting articles, as appropriate, capturing participation and impacts at key events
  • Developing an annual engagement strategy including internal and external events
  • Coordinates live-streaming events when required

This position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in event planning.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a creative mindset.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability: 21 June 2021.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • Prior experience coordinating DoD or Army PEO events.
