Job Description

The Systems Development Division is looking for a proven leader with experience in high growth environments who can help shape our people, culture, and attitudes to get the most out of their unique sets of skills, experiences, and perspectives to put us on a trajectory to change the world. The Role

The Systems Development VP will report to the Senior Vice President of the Systems Development Division and be a key part of a team made up of experts in Programs, Engineering, Plans, and Strategy. The successful candidate will:

  • Be a multi-faceted expert in the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence Communities (IC).
  • Show a demonstrated ability to lead teams of direct reports as well as influence in a positive way those around them to a common goal
  • Have a strong background in applying advanced technology to solve our nation’s most difficult problems
  • Show ingenuity in problem solving, applying novel solutions to new and existing challenges
  • Have a wide breadth of expertise and ability to communicate with a diverse set of technical and government experts
  • Be a proven team player, able to work with a range of personalities and show an ability to inspire others to achieve new heights
  • Have a complete grasp of government acquisitions and understand how to get things done within the DoD and IC acquisition systems
  • Is a recognized expert within the DoD and/or IC in the development and application of novel technologies and their use by Combatant Commanders to meet national objectives
  • Familiar with Legislative and Executive Branch operations and their interactions with the DoD or IC
  • A proven self-starter, able to perform with or without a staff to meet requirements
  • A strong communicator, able to express a new idea or concept in many forms and be able to listen and respond to other experts to forge a common path forward
  • Be able to operate in an office or remote work environment and still be able to demonstrate the ability to accomplish the mission
  • Willing to travel as required, in the US and abroad, to accomplish the mission

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience working with the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
  • Experience leading, building, and developing high impact teams
  • Significant experience driving highly technical programs to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated experience working with Combatant Commanders and/or Field Operating Agencies
  • Experience and certification in program management, engineering, and or test
  • Objective and balanced leader able to deftly navigate complex situations involving conflict and negotiate positive outcomes
  • Exemplary integrity, decision making, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Extremely strong oral and written communication skills
  • Master’s Degree required. Engineering or Management preferred.
  • US Citizen with an active Top Secret Security Clearance
