Job Description

Edmit is an award-winning and mission-driven team passionate about solving the student debt crisis and empowering students and families to make smarter financial decisions about college and student debt. Our product consists of software and educational content as well as human advising, and is distributed to high school families at no cost through sponsorships.

We are hiring a Growth Marketer to drive site traffic, conversion and user engagement for our 1+ million visitors and users. The ideal candidate will be a true start-up marketer, well-versed in growth marketing and eager to help us grow and engage our user base.

Key responsibilities

  • Increasing conversion of our 100k+ monthly web visitors by designing and running experiments on CTAs, copy, landing pages, etc
  • Deeply understand the lifecycle of our student and parent users, and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Run marketing campaigns and other growth initiatives end-to-end: you will design experiments, develop campaign strategy, and drive execution of the campaign through to completion
  • Investigate and test new channels to communicate with our existing customers
  • Analyze the data to measure the impact of each campaign, and develop ways to scale
  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to meet ambitious growth targets. You will also work closely with our director of revenue ops, who currently manages marketing for our school and sponsor channels.


  • 5+ years experience in a high performing marketing organization; demonstrated experience with startup/product marketing, analytics, and email marketing expertise
  • Ability to develop, plan, execute, and evaluate data-driven marketing programs from start to finish
  • Growth mindset; an insatiable appetite to learn new things where your experience is lacking, and to find ways to execute with limited resources
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change; ability to plan and execute experiments in order to discover what works and to shift priorities accordingly
  • Data driven; highly analytical and detail-oriented; makes decisions according to evidence
  • Creativity, empathy, strong writing and design skills
  • A passion for consumer technology businesses and experience or demonstrated interest in some or all of the following: K12 and/or higher education, financial services/fintech, data and analytics, marketing analytics
