We're looking for a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to join our Tech team. This role will elevate/coach squads and improve productivity and project delivery within squads

Functions/Responsibilities

  • Possess expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and iterative project management methodologies.
  • Lead a cross-functional team in a matrixed organization for successful, on-time delivery.
  • Act as point person for escalation and prioritization of team’s work.
  • Think out-of-the-box in optimizing delivery practices, resources, and key performance factors to ensure successful delivery.
  • Resolve blockers across the organization to facilitate successful delivery.
  • Understand the short term and long term company goals and drive the team towards the execution of those goals
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coach scrum teams and facilitate scrum ceremonies.
  • Conduct project retrospectives and provide recommendations in order to improve processes
  • Project Risk management and reporting; along with creating and sharing velocity and sprint burn down charts.
  • Track and manage inter-project/team dependencies and remove impediments as necessary
  • Identify and promote new techniques for improving Agile Software Development
  • Assist product managers in product backlog grooming
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
  • Keep projects moving in step by making sure schedules, technical requirements, resources, and communication are in sync.
  • Work with leadership to define and document processes that keeps projects moving quickly with quality results.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to emergent requirements and changing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Analysts, and QA Personnel
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2.5 years managing product delivery using Scrum, Kanban, and Jira.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum process and agile principles
  • Experience in leadership through influence (e.g., without formal authority)
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related experience preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM or above) desired.
