BURNCO Colorado has an immediate opening for an extraordinary Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to be based out of our Milliken, Colorado office. Reporting to our US Manager, Human Resources, you will support Human Resource's business strategy, specifically by improving core human resource activities within the organization. This role contributes to the strategy of the HR function and helps to provide a comprehensive HR service to managers and employees within BURNCO. In general the primary areas of responsibility you will have include:

  • providing tactical and strategic HR support;
  • addressing staffing needs and work-related issues with management;
  • administration and management of the US benefit program

What You Will Be Doing

Specifically, as BURNCO's new Colorado HRBP you will be expected to deliver outstanding results and achievements while you:

  • work closely with business leaders and HR leadership to develop an effective human resource strategy regarding recruitment, employee relations, benefits and culture
  • coach and counsel supervisors and managers on leadership best practices, assist in providing development plans and training opportunities
  • work with managers on building effective teams and driving alignment of team and individual goals to overall business goals
  • build and maintain strong relationships with broader Human Resources shared services team including Payroll, Benefits and Talent Acquisition
  • participate in and project manage annual programs for a defined client group. This will include performance management, compensation planning, workforce planning and succession planning
  • utilize metrics and data analysis to support recommendations and decision making
  • interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
  • address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
  • ensure proper staffing requirements and quality of hire by managing recruitment process effectively
  • training organize training initiatives, participate in and monitor in-house training programs
  • initiate changes to human resources policies, procedures and programs as required
  • cross-train and assist in broader HR tasks and activities as needed
    • provide peers with required paperwork and information for processing
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We Would Like From You

  • Local to North / Central Colorado area relocation not provided
  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction or transportation a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a HRIS
  • Advanced knowledge of Colorado employment law and HR practices
  • Effective communication with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent coaching and negotiating abilities
  • Adherence to confidentiality and compliance requirements
  • Capable of taking initiative and proactive decision making
  • Strong at organization, time management and project management
  • Valid PassPort with the ability to travel at times to support US operations and Canada (less than 10%)
  • Ability to perform the routine and regular duties of the job including typing, talking, sitting, standing, and lifting office supplies up to 20 lbs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years of HR experience as a Generalist or Business Partner
  • HR Certification preferred
