Position Summary:
The Demand Planning Analyst is an engineering professional based out of our Phoenix, AZ Distribution Center. We are seeking a recent graduate or final year student to start immediately and join a cohesive team of professionals for this position. Forecasting techniques are used daily by this analyst to ensure the team's success, eliminate waste, and achieve our mission. This position will work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and is required to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Should be able to apply forecasting techniques to predict daily demand while considering various independent variables that affect the sales
- Should be able to translate revenue data into ingredient level usage
- Will be working closely with the production team and support them by providing one week ahead estimations for all the items produced
- Work on the ad-hoc requests from the production team, supply chain team, and other stakeholders by using the historical data and other qualitative inputs
Job requirements:
- Engineering graduate degree with a focus on industrial engineering
- Experience with applying statistical methods to real-world situations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA scripting
- Knowledge of R or Python and SQL is a must
- Knowledge of SAS, Tableau is a plus
- Knowledge in inventory management, including safety stocks, PAR levels, is a must
- Knowledge in Lean-Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, and inventory management is a plus
- Knowledge in Regression Analysis, Time Series Forecasting and/or Data mining is a must
- Passionate about process optimization
- A can-do attitude and motivated to identify areas of improvement and work to find solutions
- Ability to work independently as well on a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including SharePoint
