What We Need

We are looking for an amazing individual to join our Corporate Ventures and Startup Ecosystem team as a Research Intern. You will report to the Project Manager. This position will be remote.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Research Intern, Corporate Ventures and Startup Ecosystem your role will include market research and compilation of insights, selection of companies for the program, design and implementation of pilot projects, project management, relationship management with the clients, the partners, and 500 Startups.

Key / Sample Responsibilities:

• Market Research and synthesis of insights
  • Conducting research on macro and industry trends
• Startup diligence and
  • Support startup sourcing efforts via online technology platforms and networks
  • Compile startup profiles
  • Conduct outreach and assist in interviews and setting up demos, as needed
• Design support in project deliverables
  • Prepare materials for project-related meetings, workshops, and stakeholder reviews
• Project Management Support
  • Assist in outreach to relevant startups

Minimum Qualifications

• Highly proficient at G-Suite, Powerpoint, etc. (Can quickly make and format slides, etc).
• Skilled at conducting desk research (via Google, reports, databases, extracting relevant info and compiling, summarizing, etc).

  • Finding Statistics, Numbers
  • Building Startup Profiles
• Experienced with project management tasks and tools (e.g. handling back-and-forth communications, booking appointments, etc)
  • Open to contacting and talking to startup founders, etc.
• Fascination with the startup ecosystem, venture capital, trends, etc.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with startup ecosystem and interest as a future founder, startup team member or investor
• You have built something or started something from scratch
• Familiarity with Startup / Tech Databases (i.e. Pitchbook); understands how to search, filter, find companies
