As a Business Development Coordinator, you will possess excellent customer service skills and experience with event coordination and logistics to ensure deadlines are met, inventory is maintained, and logistics are complete and correct. This role will also assist in sales and marketing activities. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Support Business Development activities by owning logistics for events and maintaining relationships with outside vendors
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services for all events.
- Resolve any issues or complaints
- Meet accuracy and timeline targets
- Receive products and coordinate delivery
- Prepare tradeshow shipments
- Continually review freight costs
- Keep inventory of all promotional and educational items
- Maintains trade show calendar, marketing materials and planning for all conferences and events
- Assist with Marketing Plan by managing all tradeshow invoices and tracking tradeshow expenses.
- Coordinate logistics for all events and ensure appropriate supplies are sent and all items return.
- Research and qualify all sales conferences and marketing events
- Determine ROI on events and share feedback with team
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong phone contact skills including active listening
- Customer focus and ability to work with multiple personality types
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry materials up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
- Experience with logistics and event planning a plus
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience coordinating events
- Experience managing vendor logistics at trade shows and industry events.
