Kickstand Communications, a national, full-service PR firm, is looking for an Operations amp; People Manager to join its team. Employees in this role will support recruitment, onboarding, and the employee experience as well as coordinating travel and office operations. Candidates should be tech-loving self-starters looking to grow and take on new challenges.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment support including posting and managing jobs on ATS, proactively helping source candidates, conducting initial phone screens, sending offer letters, and overseeing benefits conversations with candidates
- Onboarding support: owning complete employee experience prior to start date, ensuring candidates have all needed equipment and agendas set for their first day and week, making sure they have an assigned manager and mentor, ensuring performance rubrics, 1:1s, quarterly reviews and annual performance reviews get put on the calendar during the first week, scheduling all needed onboarding and training meetings, etc.
- Career Development: overseeing career development efforts to ensure consistency and accountability. Working with leadership team to get career plans in place for all employees, ensuring all KS team members know what their path at Kickstand looks like
- Culture amp; Employee Engagement: support of all employee engagement efforts, including helping put regular engagement surveys in place and overseeing that process and reporting on it to leadership team, helping with coordination of all employee events including quarterly business reviews presentations by agency partners and team offsites, holiday party, overseeing anniversary and team birthday initiatives, etc.
- Assistance in other operations areas as needed - tasks could include travel coordination for the team, coordination of annual client holiday gifts, helping scout office space if/when needed, running office-related/business-related errands, etc.

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years of Human Resource experience
- 1-3 years of general office administrative experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PR Agency experience
- SHRM and/or HRCI certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Related
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Currently all Kickstand employees are remote through the end of 2021, however since this is a very hands-on role, candidates in the greater Austin, TX area are preferred.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
