Job Description

Appetize is looking for an exceptional Director of Sales amp; Strategic Accounts for our Hospitality team. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives, while also having a focus on account management. Responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Duties will include hitting quarterly and annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.

Further responsibilities include driving and managing strategic accounts to increase our sales from uncovering incremental opportunities by nurturing key stakeholders, creating holistic attack plans, and developing upsell strategies. This will include current account management, account strategy and sales operations.

We are looking for someone who has a history of developing and nurturing relationships and can represent Appetize in the market. Must have experience in generating business and presenting to senior executives. Strong organizational skills and ability to identify new opportunities and execute on them.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned markets and key accounts
  • Maintain strong customer relationships within the Hospitality portfolio, providing executive-level account management and oversight
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our position with assigned accounts
  • Create quotes, performing web and in-person demonstrations and logging activities into Salesforce.com
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with assigned accounts by leading, and closing upsell sales opportunities for assigned accounts
  • Manage amp; Co-manage opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Develop amp; conduct Renewal strategy for accounts (account reviews, additional module upsell, increase recurring revenue from original deal)
  • Work with Sr Management on Client Retention Programs as needed
  • Run and manage external sales focused weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings
  • Assist in RFP responses for assigned accounts
  • Develop effective communication plans - newsletters, executive summaries, business reviews,etc.
  • Oversee internal and external business plans and playbooks for accounts
  • Trade show attendance
    • Product showcase
    • Preparation
    • Technical follow up
  • Identify and work with SVP of Sales amp; Director of Sales to improve cross-functional systemic issues

Requirements

  • Proven sales and account executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Experience using Salesforce or sales CRM
  • Excellent presentation skills, with experience presenting to large audiences
  • Well-developed teamwork skills including written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Financial and revenue modeling experience a plus
  • Payment, Gateway and/or POS experience a plus
  • Ability to travel 50% or more
