Job Description

It’s an exciting time at Crossbeam. Just two years post-launch, we have over three thousand companies using our platform, raised more than $40M of venture capital from leading VC firms, and are working with awesome strategic investors like Salesforce, Hubspot, Okta, and Slack. Best of all, we’re just getting started. In a market full of uncertainty, we are fortunate to have an unwavering long-term vision and the funding to see it through at full speed.

Crossbeam helps companies partner with each other in a more data-driven way by acting as an escrow service for data. Our platform allows companies to find overlapping customers and prospects with their partners while keeping the rest of their data private and secure.

We’re growing fast, and we have the user base to match. We’re bringing on a Solutions Engineer to help us create customized solutions for the most exciting customers, prospects, and partners in the Crossbeam ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:
  • Customer-facing Problem Solving: You will develop a deep understanding of the Crossbeam product, including our API and third-party integrations, to develop creative solutions that meet our customers’ sales amp; marketing needs. You will bring design concepts for these solutions to customer meetings and be able to explain them to technical and non-technical buyers alike.
  • Sales Partnership: You will collaborate with Crossbeam’s Account Executives to focus on finding practical, effective solutions for our enterprise sales prospects. You’ll be an active participant in sales meetings by collecting requirements, presenting solutions, and inspiring confidence in our team and product.
  • Market Knowledge: You will coordinate with our Product Marketing, Content, and Product teams to help define and expand the many ways Crossbeam can create value for our users. You will become an expert on our competitive landscape and be able to definitively show why our product is the best option for each customer.
  • Ongoing Technical Touchpoint: You will partner with our Customer Success team to provide technical guidance and support during the onboarding and growth of key accounts. Ongoing support may include diagnosing, explaining, and correcting any issues that arise from our custom technology solutions.

These are some of your traits:
  • You have a strong familiarity with APIs, the infrastructure surrounding them, and how to leverage them to develop custom solutions.
  • You have experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Salesperson, or similar customer-facing role with a highly technical focus.
  • You have basic design skills that can be used to create on-brand mock-ups and presentations that bring our custom solutions to life.
  • You are able to translate general product information into custom recommendations for each customer’s specific needs and use cases.
  • You have proven experience partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success teams in customer-facing discussions.
  • You have a deep understanding of how customers use and derive value from SaaS platforms like Crossbeam.
  • You’re not afraid to speak up when you have a point of view, but can disagree and commit once a final decision is reached.
  • You have a strong work ethic and are excited to learn from the team around you.
  • Bonus points if you have admin-level experience in Salesforce or familiarity with SQL and the modern data stack.
