Job Description

Crayon is looking for a driven, energetic, and organized People Ops Specialist to join our growing team. You’ll oversee all of HR and office operations, which means lots of interaction with folks all around the company. We’re looking for someone to help us run smoothly today and figure out how to stay smooth as we scale. If you love working with people and want to grow your career with an amazing company, look no further!

Safety for our people and community is our number one concern. We’ve been a remote workforce since sending the team home in March 2020 and we will remain remote until we can come together safely and mask-free. Some roles will require us to go to our office in the historic Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. Other roles will have an option of a remote or hybrid position, based on your preference and family's needs.

We expect this role will be remote until Fall of 2021. Post-Covid, this role will be based out of Boston, MA and will require a weekly in-office presence.

About the Job
  • HR Management: you’ll own many parts of the HR process at Crayon, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, leave, employee development, and more.
  • Office Management: Maintain an efficient office environment by coordinating with vendors, managing repairs and utilities, maintaining supplies and inventory, helping with office moves and build-outs, and providing or facilitating interim IT support. Note: we are currently remote due to the pandemic.
  • Supporting employees and enhancing the employee experience at Crayon
  • Manage vendor relationships, including benefit providers, utilities, and others.
  • Organize company events, including planning outings and ordering dinner.
  • Provide administrative support and help on other projects as needed.
