He or she must have a good understanding of resins, fillers, pigments and glass along with some knowledge of the properties, use and mix ratios of the basic materials used in our business. Other skills include the ability to maintain accurate quality records, training of employees.
This is a hand on position that works with management to train employees and assist in increasing productivity and quality in the manufacturing operation.
Must be able to communicate well and when required lead employees and temporary workers in various tasks like; repairs, application of coatings, in a vacuum assist resin transfer molding process.
Requirements
In addition to the supervisor, you will be expected to be be the subject matter expert on first shift for processes and materials questions as related to repairs and making panels.
Assist in the execution of production plans and instructions as required.
Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing goals as necessary.
Follow safe working procedures by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with all company and government regulations.
*Other production related duties as required.
Physical activities to include but not limited to the following: walking, lifting, bending, and climbing ladders indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. An associate may occasionally lift and/or move equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.
Preferred Experience:
4 year technology degree, 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
Must have solid interpersonal communication skills and be able to instruct and explain.
Good mechanical / technical aptitude along with excellent math and quantitative skills.
Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently adapt in a fast paced work environment and have a sense of urgency to get tasks accomplished.
