Job Description
AirMap is looking for a Platform Engineering Manager to join our Santa Monica team. In this role, you will work closely with the leadership team to drive engineering through alignment with a clear vision and goals.
AirMap is the world’s leading airspace services platform for unmanned aircraft. Developed by experts in technology, aviation, and policy, AirMap’s family of APIs and SDKs are used across the globe to enable safe and efficient unmanned flight.
You will work closely with a small, nimble team of platform architects and software engineers passionate about the challenges of contextual airspace and delivering the future of unmanned flight.

Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including large-scale web and SaaS products
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience hiring, coaching, and growing engineers
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills with engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge and experience in distributed computing, web-services, API design, and cloud architecture
- Operating and supporting highly available production services
- BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
