We are looking for a Scheduling Associate for our Rider Operations Team in NYC. You will manage:

  • Collecting rider availability: make sure Riders are able to share their availability and shift preferences across multiple Rider teams amp; warehouses
  • Creating rider schedules: Create schedules across multiple teams amp; warehouses to make sure that each shift is adequately staffed per order volume demand forecasts
  • Last minute rider scheduling changes: Responding to requests for schedule changes in case any ad hoc changes arise

Riders are at the heart of everything we do. As one of the early members of Gorillas, you will have a crucial role in managing the Rider scheduling process and ensuring we have enough Riders on every shift to keep up with Gorillas’ high pace of growth.

Requirements

Your responsibilities:

  • Be the scheduler for hundreds of riders across dozens of warehouses
  • Collect rider availability as an input to the schedule
  • Create amp; finalize the weekly schedule based on rider availability amp; demand
  • Communicate schedules clearly across riders amp; rider captains in advance
  • Evaluate shift performance to adjust staffing levels for future weeks
  • Approve last minute scheduling changes or shift swap/change requests from riders or rider captains
  • Ensure rider captains have all the info they need to take attendance at the beginning of each shift

Your profile:

  • Previous experience in planning, coordination, or scheduling role
  • Previous experience in retail management a plus
  • An ability to work and engage with a large number of employees in a rapidly changing environment
  • A desire to work in a dynamic environment at one of the fastest growing startups in Europe - and a desire to set the bar high for our US entry
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
