Job Description

Product Manager, Clinical Trials

Define the goals of clinical trial platform and devise flow charts, diagrams, wire fames and product roadmaps to describe the logical operational steps of the clinical trial platform from a technical perspective. Serve as a project leader for the clinical trial platform, collaborating with computer programmers, data scientists or other systems analysts to analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design platform output, using techniques such as structure analytics, data modeling and information engineering. Gather and assimilate a wide variety of primary and secondary research information and data for product requirements in the clinical trial space. Define and articulate the unique features and functionality of the platform to meet customer needs and market opportunities. Work with the engineering and business teams to determine the computer software and/or hardware requirements, as needed, to set up the new clinical trials system by evaluating the function of system. Assess the usefulness of any pre-developed application/product offering packages currently at PulsePoint (i.e., exchange platform) and adapt them to the clinical trial platform as requirements and functionality allow. Ensure adequate resources, processes and procedures are in place to deliver and support new products. Develop and establish strategic partnerships. Consider feedback from clients regarding the nature of the clinical trial platform, and whether the system is meeting and addressing their needs from a functionality standpoint. Consult with senior management to ensure agreement on product/system requirements, methodology and principles. Set priorities and define roadmaps for product evolution. Develop, document, and revise system/product design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards as necessary to ensure a quality product is being produced as per platform specifications. Build a substantial pipeline of potential product opportunities, identify product development initiatives and generate new ideas that have significant potential to grow the PulsePoint’s market share, improve customer experience and drive overall revenue growth. Work closely with the Operations, Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams to develop service delivery and channel enablement plans. Develop compelling positioning, value proposition and selling tools. Understand and prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions regarding the clinical trial platform, specifically, as it relates to product and feature enhancements. Recommend new equipment, software, or language packages as necessary to build the clinical trial product.

Requirements

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or related field of progressive digital Product Management; or, in the alternative, a Master’s degree or equivalent in the above fields and two years of work experience.

If qualifying with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, must have at least three years of experience planning and executing development and ideation of integrated platform for clinical trials, including proficiency in managing all aspects of a successful product launch and lifecycle. Must have at least three years of experience working effectively across many internal functional groups to optimize product offerings, create a seamless internal and external customer experience, and resolve issues related to prioritization of product features, data processing, user experience, and any technical challenges during product development.

If qualifying with Master’s degree or equivalent, must have at least two years of experience planning and executing development and ideation of integrated platform for clinical trials, including proficiency in managing all aspects of a successful product launch and lifecycle. Must have at least two years of experience working effectively across many internal functional groups to optimize product offerings, create a seamless internal and external customer experience, and resolve issues related to prioritization of product features, data processing, user experience, and any technical challenges during product development.

Salary Offered: $152,000.00/year. 40 hours/wk full-time.
