We are looking for an experienced, outgoing, motivated, hands-on Accounting Manager to support the Company’s Accounting function. The Accounting Manager will be responsible managing a growing team and managing accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency while following appropriate internal controls and compliance with US GAAP. This role is an integral part of the finance team and will report to the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience performing full financial statement reporting including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, AP/AR Agings, Fixed Asset Rollforwards, Prepaids/Accruals, Bank Reconciliations, Intercompany Reconciliations, and GL detail.
  • Manage the consolidated month end close and maintain detailed trial balances and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
  • Ensure overall and day-to-day system operations are functioning properly during current and future system transitions
  • Domestic and International payroll entries
  • Review and approval of journal entries in the general ledger to reflect the monthly activity
  • Oversee the implementation, performance and documentation of accounting controls.
  • Manage the accounts payable function including the entry, processing, and approval flow of all invoices, corporate credit card purchases and expense reimbursements.
  • Establish, monitor and enforce internal and financial controls
  • Ensure efficiency in recording and reconciling corporate credit card expenses, verifying employee expense reports comply with policy, and ensuring timely reimbursement of employee business expenses.
  • Support international accounting functions such as FX, VAT returns, Transfer Pricing, Statutory tax filings
  • Collaborates with the other finance, legal, and sales operations managers to support both overall department and company objectives.
  • Sales tax returns, 1099s
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that automate the monthly accounting close
  • Work with external auditors to ensure timely execution of audit schedules and responses
  • Supervision and mentoring of accounting team

Requirements

  • Experience with Financial Force, OpenAir, Vena, Avalara; expense reporting software; and SFDC.
  • Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting management experience, preferably high growth SaaS environments and/or Big 4 accounting environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA a plus
  • Must have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) including ASC606 Revenue Recognition
  • Experience with and the desire to automate processes and reconciliations.
  • Experience with Sarbane
