Job Description

Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a Transportation Services amp; Driver who can effectively handle multiple tasks! Being safety conscious and strong communication skills are very important for this role!

Your Role

This is a cross-functional role within Logistics main job is Driver activities, but will includes Material Handling on an as required basis, but is not limited to providing transportation services, driving of Honeywell owned vehicles and trailers, receiving, shipping, put away, pick and pack, recording of shipment data, verification of weight. May be required to use basic hand and power tools and material handling equipment. Position must be filled by US Citizen or Permanent Residenter and must be a fully qualified permanent Kuehne + Nagel employee that is appropriately licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with State and Federal Regulations.

Your Responsibilities

• Must possess good mechanical aptitude

• Experience with power tools, hand tools, measurement instruments, and familiarity with mechanical assembly
• Being physically fit , must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Attention to detail
• Perform a variety of functions within the scope of a Material Handler for the purpose of providing warehousing support
operations.
• Read and comprehend written documents such as work instructions, job aids, bill of materials, shipping and delivery
documents
• Drive vehicles to transport materials to and from specified Honeywell Interplant and Inner plant destinations
• Ensure inventory loads match shipping papers
• Meet all safety requirements
• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a shared work area
• Having good communication skills
• Ability to follow proper procedures and guidelines
• Being able to work in all weather conditions
• Being able to meet strict delivery deadlines
• Having good eye vision
• Perform vehicle safety checks
• Monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays
• Read and interpret maps and GPS directions
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
• Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles
• Maintains records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities
• Submit and pass random Drug and Alcohol screening as required by the US Department of Transportation

Requirements

Education Requirements:
• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Driver Qualification Training / Driver Training Course from approved training provider
• Drivers who will operate vehicles weighing less than 26,000 pounds are required to have a valid drivers license issued from
the state in which they live
• Drivers who will operate vehicles weighing more than 26,001 pounds are required to have a valid Commercial Drivers
License.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations
