JDK Management Company is adding a IT Support Specialist to our growing team. Our IT Support Specialist provides end-user support and troubleshoots for the organization, to include field employees.
Our ideal candidate is tech savvy, driven to meet deadlines, and is customer service oriented.
Essential Functions
- Provides first-line basic support for all software and hardware.
- Responds in a timely fashion to end users’ needs and concerns relating to computer business applications and general systems issues.
- Diagnoses and resolves technical problems, prevents problem escalation and provides solution tracking.
- Uses discretion to effect timely solution of problems in order to ensure client satisfaction, eliminate downtime and prevent cost overruns.
- Exercises sound professional judgment in analysis of problem in order to: (1) attempt hardware/software solution by phone/email, or (2) raise the level of support to assist in resolving the problem.
- Develops and possess a strong understanding on the organization’s products and services.
- Handles multiple project responsibilities simultaneously to prioritize work and resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
- Provides professional leadership, training, and guidance to other department staff.
- Collaborates with IT Director and department staff in designing technical systems and architecture.
- Level I security clearance.
- All other appropriate duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in technical support, corporate and network troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of backup theory and design, performance based issues with OS and/or hardware, VMware/Hyper-V, SAN and NAS devices, active directory, system networking and TCP/IP and DNS, Windows server (2008/2012).
