This role is focused on driving communications efforts across Sightline’s corporate communications channels to raise company awareness, position the organization as a thought leader, and enhance strategic growth priorities. This position will be responsible for producing high-quality content that engages key audiences and builds brand recognition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong communications background including experience with public relations agencies and social media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day relationship with P.R. agency for corporate PR
- Work in coordination with SVP, Strategic Development amp; Government Affairs and CMO to implement corporate P.R. strategy for organization
- Aggregate and draft corporate press releases and ensure alignment and approval before publication
- Work with key SLP leadership to prep for speaking engagements through media and events
- Drive corporate social media efforts including Sightline’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts while developing new potential mediums for messaging including other forms of social media, podcasts, etc.
- Build out calendar of key releases and thought leadership opportunities for SLP team
- Drive thought leadership engagements of SLP leadership in gaming, financial services, Fintech, and innovation sectors
- Develop and distribute industry news impacting Sightline from gaming, financial services, and FinTech communities
- Manage SLP awards submissions process in coordination with P.R. agency
- Coalesce and distribute talking points on key Sightline messaging
- Define and plan the event calendar and work closely with marketing team to develop appropriate materials and suppor
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or relevant field
1-3 years of experience working in communications role public relations or communications experience preferred
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Understanding and use of multiple social media platforms
Knowledge of casino gaming, sports betting, and/or financial technology preferred
Experience and strong skills in copywriting, proofreading, and editing
