TorkLaw is an award winning personal injury law firm looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. Seeking a highly-motivated Associate Attorney to primarily supervise and handle a heavy and complex case-load of pre-litigation and litigation cases involving elder abuse, nursing home negligence and medical malpractice. Must have 5+ years of litigation experience in the field.
Ideal candidate can work independently, supervise support staff and has experience handling claims from start to finish. This position is for someone who is looking to move up in their career, handle a large case-load and be exposed to significant value cases and some of the best attorneys in the country. This is a full-time position for someone who is looking for a long-term commitment.

Requirements
- Previous work experience involving litigation of claims under Arizona’s Adult Protective Services Act is preferred.
- Member in good standing of AZ Bar
- 5+ years’ experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense), written depositions, expert depositions, law and motion; trial experience is a plus
- Strong legal drafting experience.
- Ability to manage and oversee legal support team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office based computer programs.
- Self-motivated and must take initiative.
- Ability to make timely decisions in the face of obstacles, difficulties and challenges.
- Focus on meeting demanding deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to accuracy, detail and organization.
- Must maintain professionalism in stressful and challenging situations.
- Naturally inquisitive, continuous learner, hungry for new knowledge/skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task and function positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures (including e-filing), and ability to adhere to law office procedures.
- Light travel may be required at times
