Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic discovery scientist with expertise in biology and translational in precision oncology or immuno-oncology to support Monte Rosa Tx effort to identify small molecule glue degraders. In this position within the Target Biology and Translational Research group, the candidate will provide scientific leadership to understand the biology of drug targets and apply that understanding to the identification and translation of novel degraders in biomarker selected patients. The candidate will direct pharmacology studies and translational research in collaborative efforts with the preclinical team and the clinical team. The role will involve significant interaction and collaboration within the company and with external partners. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design and interpretation of data using in vitro and in vivo oncology or immuno-oncology models

· Lead and provide the strategy to drug discovery teams to candidate selection, IND filing and clinical introduction

· Serve as translational research lead for clinical stage oncology or immuno-oncology programs

· Direct supervision of a group of scientists performing cell biology and in vivo pharmacology studies

· Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, including establishing preclinical and clinical research collaborations

· Communicate data and strategies effectively to key stakeholders, including internal team members, senior management, and external partners

· Establish and maintain scientific presence amongst the academic community by publishing and speaking at recognized scientific conferences

Requirements

Qualifications:

· PhD or equivalent in biology, pharmacology or related discipline with 8-10+ years of relevant experience in the biotech/industry and/or academic institutions

· Experience in the oncology or non-oncology cell biology and in vivo preclinical models to enable the development of novel small molecule glue degraders

· Experience overseeing the development of relevant models by using new technologies, such as CRISPR, to engineer cell lines

· Demonstrated ability to use strong science to guide strategic direction

· Proven track record for striving for high level of inter-disciplinary problem solving, innovation and scientific excellence

· Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams, both directly and in matrix organizations

· Proven time management skills and ability to support multiple projects

· Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate (written and oral) complex data and its impact on program strategy
